A day with the deaf man πŸ™‰

After a refreshing morning shower 🚿 I toweled myself dry with melodious tunes playing in my mind!

As I stepped outside the washroom, the world 🌎 suddenly went silent!

I froze for a few moments to realise the cause but the world appeared to be spinning as usual!

I was awestruck at not hearing a single word of my better half's banter since her vocal cords are robust and her voice decibels generally, reverberate!

For a split second I imagined that of a Divine intervention tuning down the volume but dismissed the thought because, God hesitates to interfere in humans domestic issues!

Confused, I increased the TV volume but couldn't hear even a single syllable but noticed my wife starring at me!

Alright, she had her reasons to stare since I used to frown at louder volumes and distanced myself from shrill noises!

Man for the first time in my life there was complete silence around me and though it was a blissful state, I was hesitant to accept it!

Human minds are prone for unwanted thinking and I was no exception πŸ‘‰ see, my right ear πŸ‘‚ was already deaf as a result of a major motorcycle accident in my teens!

The left ear having left with no other options but to take responsibility of hearing for the past years, was gradually wearing out!

So has the left ear finally had bid it's goodbye πŸ€”

A gentle tap on the shoulder broke my brooding and I saw my wife's questioning but caring look!

I tapped on my ear and gestured on my inability to hear and she at once checked the inner section of my left ear and put 3 drops of soliwax as a precautionary measure!

I visited an ENT specialist in the evening hours and the doctor diagnosed the presence of a thick layer of wax blocking the eardrum passage and prescribed periodical application of soliwax eardrops for a week!

But wait a minute, I just noticed that unintentionally I had switched to sign launguage since this morning and everyone appeared to be fine with that!

I think I was also lip reading for the past few hours and seem to be reasonably good at it!

How true of the statement that 'when one door closes, others open' πŸ˜€

I am now oblivious to the thundering fighter jet flying high above my head, usual commotions of the daytimes and thankfully to the nonstop phone conversations of my home minister!

Ofcourse riding my Stryder bicycle 🚲 and driving the 'Black Beauty' (car) may require upskilling of a different kind!

In all, it is indeed a state of blissful moments expected to last till the ear wax is lost!

In the meantime am planning to improve my sign language and lip reading skills because, who knows what the Creator has in store?

* I flipped the Doctor's prescription and there in bold letters was written πŸ‘‡
"Even the darkest of the tunnel is often maintained, least your ear tunnel"

My voice echoed the indepth value in these words and I felt ashamed at my ignorance!

Well the words finally hasn't fallen on deaf ears πŸ‘‚
