Adventure Tourism vs adventure travellers

Adventure Tourism

Don't jump in the same pond!

In the 1990s, camping sites sounded alien to the majority of the tourists and naturally it wasn't in their bucket list

Down here in southindia, the number of campsites in those years can be finger counted

Western culture did influence the young minds in the 1990s to explore camping and adventure activities

Resorts in the outskirts began to focus on setting up camping activities to attract the emerging travellers

Till as early as in 2010s, such properties were scattered and mostly patronised by adventure activities promoters

The turnaround in this sector was mainly due to the millennials focusing on nature connected outdoor activities and the disposable income in their hands

Today, the outskirts of the tech city Bengaluru is sporting dozens of leisure properties that offer multiple outdoor activities and the number is growing by the day

While the growth in this sector is encouraging, what might create a road block is 👇

"Supply to Demand ratio"

Though inventions and innovations are consistent, many of the activities in these properties are much similar, hence there isn't an uniqueness to promote

Over a period this setback can turn the fun as mundane and thus discourage the aspiring travellers to opt for such vacations

So avoid the copycat style of promoting such leisure properties and begin to think differently before embarking in these ventures

However the shape of a cake is altered, a cake is a cake, hence a baker must begin to think of alternates to sustain and survive or to make a mark in the profession

Each entrepreneur is a baker in a way and to make their way in the path of entrepreneurship, they must think and act differently

Tourism is fast evolving and so are the tourists, hence to be with the trend or to be a trendsetter, choose and define your path

& Don't blindly follow others path

Or in other words 👇

Don't jump in the same pond

*Be an adventurous entrepreneur in adventure tourism but do think and act differently to establish your USP
