Core business pivoting in time!

When should a business pivot πŸ‘‡

When a product or service turns redundant

When a product or service isn't the trend

When a product or service is obsolete

Then it's time to shift the focus

Let me set an example for this post-pandemic scenario πŸ‘‡

Let's take the tourism industry, it's an open secret that the tourism industry is poised for a makeover in its approach to vacations

Tourists are fast evolving as travellers and their preferences of destinations, mode of travel, stay facilities, recreation, stay times etc are changing for good

Connecting with nature, the local flora & fauna, learning the history, heritage, outdoor stays and such are trending

Families are taking to camper/motor vans, caravans and RV modes of travel

Destination tourist centres are refocussing on glamping and pods as alternate accommodations

Imagine a person with a deep pocket who opts to venture into a chain of run-down type hotels at the major tourist destinations during this post the pandemic times

That person is sure to empty the pockets near soon, this is the time to pivot in the tourism industry as the core business is shifting from a tourist to a traveller

The pandemic enlightened and escalated the online opportunities, those offline businesses which adapted to online platforms will survive

Remaining ignorant of online trending and sticking around adamantly with only offline will surely teach the importance of the timely

Pivoting from core business πŸ™πŸΌ
