Friends of Ramayana era
Ayodhya was in tears as Sri Ram, Ma Sita and Lakshmana were leaving the city for a long period
The royal family couldn't digest the reality of their dears walking away in simple attires to face the challenging life ahead
Ma river Ganga was flowing in full force as the monsoon fed Her from the catchment areas
Lakshman was a bit concerned for the safety of his beloved brother and sister
Sri Ram read His brothers mind, gently wrapped His arms around Lakshman shoulder in a reassuring gesture and said
Lakshmana, there's no cause for concern as there's a dear friend awaiting our arrival to ferry us across Ma Ganga
A ray of confusion sparkled in the face of Ma Sita and Lakshman but they knew Sri Ram very well and hence kept quiet and walked the path with better confidence
As they descended a small mound that opened to the vast landscape that bordered river Ganga
A large gathering of Nishadas began to sing their folks songs in praise of Sri Ram and came forward to offer their respects to the three Divinely humans
Sri Rams face lit up at the sight of Gugha, the chief of Nishadas and both rushed to embrace each other
Gugha addressed his tribe and said "it's divine intervention that we are blessed to be in the presence of Sri Ram, Ma Sita and brother Lakshmana"
And went on to say that, it is our solemn duty to ferry them safely across our Ma river Ganga to which the whole tribe reverberate with joyous approval
Sri Ram Ma Sita and Lakshman obliged to the loving invite of the tribe to be their guest prior to crossing the river
Sailing across the river, there was chorus singing and gaiety to raise the spirits of the three who are about to set their feet in the path of the jungle
At the opposite bank, Gugha and his tribe pleaded to be included in the Vanavas of Sri Ram and group for which
Sri Ram embraced Gugha, thanked the Nishadas and said
The ordinance binds only Him and the other two are volunteers by which the promulgation is already breached
Hence their kindness is more felt if they could understand and permit the three of them to proceed
Gugha couldn't control his emotions and was about to touch Sri Rams feet to find solace
Sri Ram held him back in time, hugged Gugha tight and said
This moment marks the "Eternal Bond Of True Friendship"
And that, as long as the world remembers Sri Ram, the world will remember His best friend
'Gugha' and their 'Friendship'
