I am sure many of you must have experienced that mysterious moment in your life for which you have no answers!

Let me share one such experience, some 45 years ago at the world-famous self-rejuvenating waterfalls located close to Madurai in Tamil Nadu, South 🇮🇳

Known as TiruKurtallam or Courtallam, these legendary waterfalls used to attract tourist flow during their peak flow in the year the 1980s!

In those years, I was an intern at a printing and packaging factory in Sivakasi, a town well-known for fireworks manufacturing and of course printing!

The waterfall town was closer to Sivakasi and hence 90% of the residents of Sivakasi would be hanging around at Courtallam during the peak season and I was one among them!

On one such trip, I dared to climb up to the higher ranges of the waterfall with a local guide in tow!

The Mountain surface was all rocky and as we were pushing ourselves up along the course of the stream that fed the waterfalls, Out of the blue the water flow turned rapid and we were swept away!

I struggled to keep my head above the waters but at one stage surrendered to the force of the water power and lost all hope of surviving!

To date, the next thing I can remember is someone pulling me out and by the time I regained consciousness, there were none around!

I searched for the local guide and fearing the worst, I managed to reach the local Eshwara temple at the foothills!

The trauma that I went through made me sit at the temple and pray!

I felt a caring hand on my shoulder and opened my eyes to find a blissful face smiling at me!

I blinked and sensing my query, the saint-like person said, your local guide is safe at his home and you were rescued in time!

I could only just stare at the person since logical thinking took a back seat and I couldn't respond at all!

The saint-looking person said the following words before leaving and that was 👇
"Atmas are predestined to transit and traverse and my Atma had earthly years to live"
And hence rescued to live!

Despite my best efforts to find the person on that trip and in subsequent visits to Courtallam, I drew a blank!

I often keep revisiting this incident since Tirucourtallam was also known to be the abode of Siddha Purushas!

Was that a Siddha Purusha who rescued me?

To date, I have no answers but the words of the saint-looking person do ring a bell 🔔
