Illusion I believe is the universe and time and again it is written and preached that the universe isn't a tangible verse but an all illusionary belief
If so then the Doer or the seeker must be under the influence of the illusionary results
In Bhagavad Gita, Krishna mentions that "at the beginning of time (kaala) I create the universe and at the time of closure (end of kaala) I annihilate the universe"
In other words, this could mean that consciousness is created and annihilated by the Creator which might point at the illusionary beliefs
