Improving focus and concentration!

Take an A4 executive bond paper, draw a 6″ radius circle using black ink and place a red dot at the centre of the circle

Choose your favourite room or space, diffuse the lighting, display this A4 sheet 6′ above from the floor level on a wall or board, sit cross-legged on a sheet of cloth or mat that is placed on the floor

Close your eyes for 2 minutes, open and try focusing on the outer circle drawn in black ink, be relaxed and never strain your vision

Repeat this for the next 10 minutes and make this a daily practice at a preset hour, if you religiously practise this consistently for 45 days, your focus will surely improve

Over some time you will upskill to focus on the red dot and at that level, your conversation will be extremely good

No other external disturbances will harm you and even your mind will be more balanced in the thinking process

Sparing 10 minutes a day for this concentration exercise will immensely benefit us

When the Acharya asked the disciple, what is your observation of the surroundings, the student replied

Guruji, I see the abundance of natural beauty around, I see the mother feeding her children, I see the sky reaching the shores of the far-away sea

Acharya looked into the eyes of the disciple and enquired, do you see anything beyond the spot where the sky met the sea

The student stared at the teacher and murmured, there is nothing beyond the point

Acharya took the student on a sail and asked the student to locate the point of ending

Well, there wasn't an end, the ocean was vast and the sky merging with the sea was nowhere to be found

The guru explained the horizon effect and advised the student to focus with clarity

Focusing on knowledge assists to focus on the core values better than the meagre stare

A sculpture may not carve a beautiful statue with just the chisel and hammer, the sculpture has to focus the mind with a dedication to succeed

Focus with mind and the heart works well to walk the path of achievement than just the view of the path

Practice brings perfection is the benchmark rule, let's follow the rule to rule 👍
