Is Black Thread ๐Ÿ‘‰ a talisman?

Superstitious or way of life?

It's a wonder what a simple Black Thread does to a person's willpower?

Woven at a spinning mill as a thread and dyed black, a black thread is like any other threads, that's spun around a cone

Among the millions of meters of this black thread, few hundred meters find their way for spiritual application

Predominantly patronised by the south Indians, this practice of tying the black thread around the wrist, waist and neck to ward off negative impacts has been around for thousands of years

In my generation 'baby boomers', there prevailed this practice of tying 'aranjanam or aranakodi' around the waist of a child whose diameter increased as the waistline increased

Be it physical or mental ailments, the go to remedy was/is this miracle black thread, available at divine centres

The crucial factor that makes these black threads divine is 'our faith in the divine intervention'

Though these black threads are available across all stores near the places of worship, the miracle factor enters these threads only after receiving the blessings of the Supreme inside the shrine

It's my hand in the picture with the black thread at my wrist to build my willpower and find peace in life ๐ŸŒฟ

Faith possesses the power to make a difference in the way we live ๐Ÿ‘
