Middle class in India πŸ‘‰ they carry the burden for future of the nation

At 39% and growing, the middle class is projected to be the majority at 63% of the nation's population by 2047

Going by the speed of Time, next two decades will fly by in no time but will be the most challenging times for the middle class to survive

Ironically the expected increase in middle class population won't be by childbirth rate but by the unprecedented inflation pushing the population to this category

65% of the younger population categorised as middle class, collectively contribute to approximately 50% of the nation's revenue

The middle class, as the fastest growing segment are the major drivers of the nation's economy since their contributions to consumer consumption, savings and entrepreneurship are crucial for the nation's progress

Middle class are expected to reshape the economic and social landscape of the nation as they are no longer confined to the metros as they are rather pushed to fast spread across the tier 2 & 3 cities of the nation

Middle class are typically like the musical drum, getting drummed at both sides to keep the economy of the nation musical and in the process, wear out over years

While on one side the middle class struggles with adequate incomes, taxes and the cost of inflation drains their energy to cope up with the life situations

Specifically the post Covid inflation has a telling effect on the lifestyles of the middle class population and cornering them to be categorised as lower middle class

The astronomical residential rental increments in metros, pointedly in the tech cities is posing serious challenges for the middle class to stay and survive

Currently, a typical middle class family is struggling to make ends meet in terms of housing, education, food, medical and the occasional entertainment

Unavoidable domestic expenses compel the middle class to borrow at alarming interest rates which in turn adds to their existing woes

Middle class population are the ones who are generally taken to task by the various rules and regulations of the nation as they lack the resources to defend themselves and end up paying for no fault of theirs

Price regulatory authorities of the government must wake up to these facts of injustice caused to the middle class population and reform the system in time to prevent further escalations in their hardships and restore a respectable way of living for them

A drum will be in shape only till it can withstand the drumming and so would the middle class population, only till they are able to survive and sustain

Tolerance level of the middle class population is often tested for the benefit of the nation which may cause an en masse emotional eruption resulting in an unstable nation

Nation's future depends on the wealth and health of the middle class, hence this population must be cared for and supported to survive πŸ™
