A dream project….👇
The JCB's were meticulously cutting through a gradient of the hill slope and the driver's skill was seen in the way the width of the road was formed
The project construction plans were approved as the architectural plans blended with the natural landscaping without disturbing the soil formations
Retaining walls using RR stones which were sourced from the approved quarry were being constructed while the rainwater drains provisions were put in place
16 duplex prefab cottages of 310 sqft per floor foundation work began and these were planned in two rows, one above the other
Municipality water supply connection was approved which will serve the water requirements of the common kitchen, dining hall, maintenance team quarters
In addition to the existing well which was 40′ deep, a fresh well with a depth of 50′ was dug and the water level was at 3/4th of the total capacity
This water source was pumped into two large water tanks placed above the row of cottages from which the individual cottage requirements were addressed
Washroom and kitchen outlet waters were directed to irrigate the vegetable garden and the individual septic tanks were well laid to filter the waste and let the residual water flow into the soil
Commercial power connection that was applied for at the initial stage of project implementation was connected after completion of the erection of one transformer and four electric poles
Though the first three months were managed with the power generators, the rest of the construction period was backed by electricity supply
Interior work and the final touches were done at a rapid pace to get the resort in operation
The camping site planned amidst the woods at the far corner of the property was made ready with the 6″ concrete base platform to pitch the tents, the prefab bio-toilets and washrooms with a dedicated water supply and septic tanks were in place
Obstacles lines were kept pending to be flexible to adapt for a possible change in the outdoor camping event plans
The management team comprising 80% of the local force and the remaining skilled hands from different locations were ready to take charge
I stood at the cliff located at a short distance from the resort property and surveyed
16 months spent by various skilled personals to make this resort happening had not gone waste, the property glittered and glowed as the sun 🔆 rays washed over the stretch
The day after tomorrow is the scheduled inauguration of the resort and the team were busy with the last minute decoration 🎀
preliminary online marketing of the property showed remarkably positive feedbacks and the local tour guides were also quite happy with their monetary terms
I inhaled the fresh mountain breeze and exhaled with the joy of a bright future, finally, the dream project is in place and happening 👇
I was stirred out of my dreams by the musical chirping of the birds 🐦 outside the bedroom window
To wake up to the fact that the dream project is still a dream, I sighed and resigned to my fate
Maybe my generation may make this happen, am keeping my fingers X
