Single Crow in Mango tree!

He began to draft his property will and that single crow cawing drew his attention to the mango tree

He was casually observing from the first-floor corner window!

That's the favourite spot, it's a habit by now to stand there for hours together, looking out at the mango tree

Almost 10 summers have gone by without any changes in the daily drill

Of course, there is a visible change in the fruits yield and the season, past three years the tree is flowering right during the winter

The fruits are not growing to the usual size and the quantity per stem has drastically reduced

His favourite pair of squirrels were tenants of the mango tree for 3 years, had bred, their parenting was decent

That family had moved away last month leaving him and the tree with a single crow, who's a regular visitor

A decade earlier he had opted for a joint venture with a builder to trade his independent house for 2 apartments and profit share

Rented the ground floor apartment and been residing in this first-floor corner apartment which interior was custom built

His only demand with the builder was to retain the mango tree and plan the structures accordingly

The last visit by his only son who lives overseas was 6 years ago to attend his mothers funeral

The 2nd Saturday's of each month was the scheduled video call with his sons family and that 30minutes of virtual play with the grandson kept him in sound mind

He rarely visits the social club and occasionally spends some evenings at the community park

Lockdown had put a full stop to that too and the only mind diversion is this corner window and the mango tree

He is also waiting for the pandemic wave to recede to go for a long stay at his mountain rest house

He took a deep breath, moved away from the corner window, sat on the desk chair, taped enter in the laptop and resumed to complete the property will

His vacation can wait, the corner window can wait, the single crow can wait, even the virtual play may wait

What shouldn't wait is his wish to will the property and wealth!

Because his 'time up' will not wait!

Hit the Save key, got up and went to the usual spot but the crow has left for the day -

Another lonely day went by!
