Sudama aka Kuchela, unfortunately, livid in a life of poverty!

Encouraged by his wife, he gathered the courage to travel and meet his childhood friend Lord Krishna!

All he could afford to carry as a gift was just a handful of Aval (beaten rice Poha)

Awestruck at the sight of the magnificent golden palace at Dvaraka, the abode of Krishna!

Kuchela, out of shame and insecurity, was reluctant to enter the palace, leave alone build the courage to mention Lord Krishna, as his friend to the guards at the gate!

Curious, the guards enquired and laughed at Sudama when he expressed a desire to meet his childhood friend, Lord Krishna!

Hearing the commotion, Krishna looked outside the balcony and recognised his friend!

He rushed to the gate with joy in his heart and embraced Kuchela with tears rolling down his eyes!

The guards bowed out of shame and vowed never to belittle a person based on their appearance!

Krishna accepted the gift of a handful of Poha with immense happiness and treated his friend to royal luxuries!

Sensing his friend's line of thoughts, Lord Krishna blesses the Sudama family with wealth and prosperity!

The emotionally charged Kuchela held the hands of his friend and said 👇
"Today is indeed a mark of Friendship Day"
