The rat woke up with a start!

The thudding noise was unfamiliar and annoying too!

The rat couldn't make out the sound and hence attempted to sneak from its hole to find the source!

As it cautiously peeped out, there at a distance was one huge stone rolling towards its hole!

This sight scarred the rat to run out of its hole and hide from this rolling stone to avoid getting crushed beneath its enormous weight!

As it ran, it thought about the other rats 🐀who might be peacefully sleeping in their respective holes, oblivious to the danger at their doors!

Overcoming its fear of death, the rat chose to run back to the rat colony and alert its clan to escape from the impending catastrophe!

By the time the road roller reached the rat's colony to flatten the surface of the earth, the rats had managed to reach a safe distance!

Gathering confidence, the rats turned to stare at their homes being crushed under the heavy stone wheels that were systematically mowing down all their hard-built homes!

Nowhere else to hide, the rats ran in search of a safer zone to dig their holes and build new homes!

Thanks to the uncovered sewage manholes, the rats breathed a sigh of relief and happily went and hid in the underground sewage system that had seldom been cleaned in the past decade!

After 3 months, a brave rat ventured out and was surprised to see a 20-story residential tower rising above their previous homeland and felt 👇

We, rats 🐀 live in a hole beneath the earth whereas these humans🚶are living in rat holes above the earth 🌐

Mother Earth smiled at the rat's 🐀 observation and murmured 👇
Aren't you both digging your own grave?
