Travel Happiness!
Unplanned Travel!
We had this lazy time joint in one corner of the city where we used to assemble for casual conversations
This space was a typical 'hippy' style decor and floor planning, few rows of racks staked with a wide collection of paper packs
A small kitchenette as a self-service counter to prepare tea, snacks etc
Few guitars 🎸 placed in a corner of the room
There was a dartboard hanging in the wall at a far corner, two tables with carrom game boards and one chessboard resting on a stool
One of the team members owned a four-wheel jeep which he had sourced through a friend from the army auction collection
For a common person, our unplanned travels will appear as a crazy plan and there was this possibility for taking us a bunch of mad guys
See our travel goes this way -
While casually chatting and sipping tea, four of us will just like that decide to travel and board the jeep, the destination is decided based on the majority choice
Mostly it would be short travels covering 300kms both ways and usually, we would return before midnight
The funny part is while en route on any given journey suppose a majority choose to alter the course of travel, the destination will be changed accordingly
So are the in-between short breaks, if vast greenery is chance upon, further travel will be terminated
We would pitch a tent & if it's late evening hours, lit a campfire using scattered twigs, broken branches and paper shred
An hour of merriment would follow post which we will break the camp and head back home
One such trip extended beyond the usual travel hours and distance, we headed straight towards the mountains, rented a remote cottage
Stayed for 48hrs without brushing the teeth, morning showers, square meals, body care and nil spare dress to change
By the way, most of the time was spent hiking hence there wasn't a need for any of the above
The only issue thou was, back home none of the family members could identify us
We have all got so ☀️ burnt, the blackness of the night went bit jealous of us
I relocated and lost touch with the group, recently came to know that the others too had migrated to foreign soils
Don't take my word on these unplanned travel, try travelling once and am pretty sure that you would end up being more than, happy !
