My past 40 + years of entrepreneurship journey introduced me to two types of entrepreneurs who are largely present in the entrepreneur's world 🌎
Creative-thinking entrepreneurs do think a bit differently and venture to bring change in the field of business!
The other type of entrepreneurs chose to follow what was trending and venture accordingly!
Creatively venturing entrepreneurs do set the trends that bring a change in the lifestyles of the consumers!
The Copycat entrepreneurs prefer to copy-paste what, that's setting the trend and trying to play safe!
Entrepreneurs who think differently develop products and concepts that are relatively new to the consumer and hence bear the brunt of establishing their innovations!
Entrepreneurs who prefer to follow the footsteps of trendsetters remain ever-dependent on the innovative launches of creative entrepreneurs for them to sustain as entrepreneurs!
The innovative thinking of creative-minded entrepreneurs keeps them focused on the progressive innovations in their outputs to the consumer market and hence in the process fail to stay alert on their P&L accounts!
Many of these innovative concepts and products by creative entrepreneurs are years ahead of the consumer's acceptance which becomes a setback for success and growth despite the uniqueness of the creation!
Copycat entrepreneurs don't face this issue of consumer challenges because of venturing into businesses that were already accepted by the consumers but they are prone to getting stuck in their line of business when fresh trends set in!
In my opinion, creative-thinking entrepreneurs who constantly keep innovating should employ skilled financial minds to keep the balance sheet healthy and rely on prudent marketing professionals to keep the coffers bell ringing!
Entrepreneurs who lack self-innovative thinking must remain constantly connected with the developments in the consumer market to bring the necessary changes in their field of business to sustain and succeed!
In the capitalist market, there's never a dearth of financially deep pockets nor a lack of consumer support for innovative concepts and products!
Hence all that's needed for creative-thinking entrepreneurs to succeed in their ventures is to keep their financials and cash flow, healthy!
Copycat entrepreneurs must constantly stay alert on consumer market developments and periodically keep copy-pasting others' success stories to keep their success stories, ongoing!
Irrespective of the type of entrepreneur, entrepreneurship never serves success on a platter, it demands the best of an entrepreneur to taste success!
I belong to the category of creative-thinking entrepreneurs, where few of my concepts were way ahead of the market acceptance and I typically failed to stay alert on the financials and hence lost the taste of success!
Though I alternatively tried to find success as a copycat entrepreneur, the cat was out of the bag well before beginning the journey!
Choose to be that entrepreneur whom the world will look forward to rather than just being yet another entrepreneur out of the mill 👇
