Unexpected meets that bring pleasant memories into our lives 🌱

I peeped through the window to observe the sky and felt a bit relieved to see a few stars twinkling high above in the early morning hours just before dawn πŸŒ‡

We were about to begin our short drive of 6 hours to visit our ancestral village to pay a visit to the family deity temple to fulfil our prayers!

Typical of humans, we too expected nature to change its weather to amicably suit our travel plans as the past two days of downpours did raise our anxiety level!

The drive was enjoyable as the usual traffic obstacles on the way were negligible and we did reach our destination well in time!

Post the prayers at the family deity temple, we decided to make a short stop at another temple located at our favourite kids' time destination πŸ‘‰ 'Kanjanur', once a beautiful village and now a pilgrimage spot!

Certain meetings are indeed predestined and so was seeing 'Uttravadi', the 'man Friday' for my maternal grandfather!

He was a kind of village hero for us, what with his masculine personality, agility in handling the errands and most of all, the ease with which he drove the bullock cart!

The bulls listened to him and just at the snap of his fingers, the bulls used to run as if there was πŸ‘‰ no tomorrow!

Man, we (me & my brother) were quite thrilled to have met Uttravadi and felt his affection in his expressions!

Well, it was time to leave and we reluctantly bid our goodbyes because, considering our senior year, the possibility of our future meeting was next to nil!

In the attached photograph, it's me on the left, Uttravadi at the centre and my brother-in-arms on the right side!

Way back, though I was at the wheel, my mind lingered on the pleasant moments spent with Uttravadi, the 'Man Friday cum Man Kid Days'

Time indeed is a wonder that brings unexpected pleasant memories into our otherwise, mundane life πŸ™Š
