Vinayaga aka Ganapathy starred at the ripe mango 🥭

His tastebuds were triggered and the rumbling in the stomach was audible
He recalled Narada had specifically mentioned that the fruit shouldn’t be split, for its power of wisdom can be gained only when it is consumed in full
Wisdom apart, the aroma of the mango was so captivating that Ganesha couldn’t resist His desire to grab the fruit and take a good bite
The disciplined upbringing froze Him to the spot but curios, He glanced at younger brother Kartikeya, who appeared detached from the scene
Thank goodness my brother isn’t interested in the fruit thought Vinayaga and turned to look at His parents
Shiva Parvati who were holding the plate on which the delicious mango fruit was rested
The parents forecasted the unfolding of future happenings and prepared themselves to play their part since they were aware of the outcome of this celestial drama
Shiva in a booming voice beckoned His sons and said 'as this fruit is indivisible and blesses the person who eats it with the power of wisdom'
I therefore open a competition inbetween the two of you to prove your mettle and win the fruit
Both Ganesha and Skanda accepted the challenge though Ganapathy was a bit shaky inside
Ma Parvati said, the one who circles the universe thrice and walk up these steps and reach us first will get the fruit 🥭
Skanda smiled, whistled at the peacock and atonce flew off on the bird to complete the challenge
Ganesha was sceptical and decided that He needs to find an easier and acceptable way to win the fruit
Suddenly He remembered His mother telling that "parents are the universe to their children"
And with that thought, Vinayaga went and stood in front of His parents, bowed and began to circumambulate them
While the rest of the gathering at Shivlok were confused, Shiva Parvati and Narada exchanged knowing glances
Post the third round, Ganapathy prostrated in front of His parents and requested for the fruit
As Shiva was handing over the fruit to Ganesha, Skanda entered and demanded justice for the action
Rest is Divine history which we have all read and stored in our memories...
And thus Vinayaga earned wisdom and was bestowed with the privilege of being in the forefront of God’s to protect and educate humanity
On this day of Vinayaga Chaturthi, i pray to Ganapathy and seek His blessings to share His wisdom and protect us from life obstacles 🙏
