Why do talented professionals relinquish growth opportunities?

Dubai has established itself as a city of great opportunities for the upwardly mobile skilled professionals

The resources like infrastructure, technology, living standards, career growth prospects and a bright future which factors act as the driving force for performing professionals are in abundance at this megacity

Still if the dreams of securing a lucrative future is erased from the mind of an aspiring professional to seek their future elsewhere

Then, it's time for organizational heads to put their mind to good use and realise where they went wrong, since the resources of talented professionals can also disappear fast

The past statistics of work team relations reveal the blocks in the minds of superiors who treat the subordinates as inferiors or as threats to their own growth or build a revenge mentality to neutralize their hurt ego

In such situations, the resultant loss isn't realised till the growth graph of the organisation begins to dive or a situation arises where the superior is made to realise their drawbacks and take corrective measures in time to restore a healthy teamwork relations

Arm twisting the team member to subjugate by underscoring their real performance in annual reviews will not sustain the power of superior for ever, since at some day, it will hit back hard

The roots of a tall tree must keep a watch on the branches that extend for the birds to build their nests, since any adverse action by the branches can erode the roots and fell the tree 🌴

Likewise, the founders of organisations must keep a close watch on the performances of their core team since any adverse action by the senior members can topple the organisation

Onboarding a professional team member consumes valuable time, resources and responsibilities and losing them for personal reasons is stupidity

A bird has the option of trees to build their nest but the tree must await for the birds to trust and build their nest

Hence, senior team members must remember the path that they walked and be realistic, compassionate and cooperative to build and keep their team members in good spirits to stay committed

To build takes time and money and energy but to demolish, all it takes is to lose a brick which factor, the founders must remember

Be the leader who builds leaders than be a loser by losing aspiring leaders 🌿

*A talented achiever will let go of career opportunities even at prospective cities if their personal growth path is purposefully blocked
